When you book a trip we provide all the transportation from the airport to the lodge or your hotel. We provide transportation every day from your hotel or the lodge to the location of all guided hunts and back at the end of the day. We also provide if wanted all skinning,processing and packaging of your Whitetail deer and turkeys. We include when staying a the lodge, all the bedding, towels, toilet paper, Kleenex tissues, shampoo, soap, some food and beverages (except alcohol) Some of the tree stands are in place and are set up so that you can use your video camera.
You need to bring:
Firearm - We recommend nothing less that .270 caliber If you are going to be turkey hunting we recommend nothing less than a 12 gauge.
Ammunition - Recommend minimum of 150 grain bullets. For turkeys 3 to 3 1/2 magnum loads,we recommend #6 shot.
Archery- We recommend a bow with at least a 50# draw
It is mandatory by law that the outer layer of your hunting clothing be 50% suit of orange with a hat that must be orange while deer hunting.
Camo is allowed for all high fence and free range archery hunts! Camo is also allowed for turkey hunting.
We suggest you bring some warm clothing, also that you bring very warm boots, coat and hood, gloves, face mask and neck warmer. Also bring chemical hand/foot warmers.
Camp clothes - This can be completely up to you. You may want to bring a light jacket/coat.
Please bring camp slippers that you can easily slip on and off as we ask that you not wear boots in the cabin.Personal hygiene items - toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving gear, etc.
You may want to bring a plastic container to urinate into while in the stand but this is not necessary.
Your camera or video camera (and sufficient supply of batteries or battery charger)
We have cell phone coverage here so don't forget your cell phone but make sure the ringer is off so that you will constantly be in touch with your guides - you know that you will want to BRAG as soon as you bring down that BIG ONE!
We suggest that you bring along a sport bag or duffel bag or something along that line to bring your meat/antlers home in
Cash for extras - post cards, beer, etc.
Make sure guns are unloaded and securely locked.
Pack rifles, shotguns and ammunition separately in checked baggage.
Store ammunition securely in a marked container, separate from the firearm.
Securely wrap bows, arrows and knives and pack in checked baggage.
Declare your firearms and ammunition at the air carrier check-in counter.
